Branding Identity

Packathon was an internal Albert Heijn event where customers were invited to share real frustrations and ideas around private label packaging. Out of hundreds of submissions, five participants were selected to work together with packaging experts, suppliers, and Albert Heijn teams to rethink and improve packaging solutions in limited ammount of hours.
The task was to create the visual identity for Packathon, an event all about ideas, collaboration, and improving packaging in a practical way.

The challenge was making it feel innovative and energetic, while still staying clearly within the Albert Heijn world.

The idea came from unpacking and rebuilding. Taking something familiar apart, improving it, and putting it back together smarter. The identity was built to work across multiple event touchpoints while staying flexible, recognisable, and easy to use.

Basically: less “corporate innovation event”, more “smart people actually making things better.”
